I have to update my review as I celebrate my three year anniversary with the practice. It remains one of the best healthcare experiences I've ever had. I never knew much about the benefits of chiropractic care and I've learned a lot. Dr. Mark and Dr. Jen are great. Over the years, Dr. Denise and I have built a great rapport. She listens, takes her time and genuinely cares. She knows my trouble spots, and I always feel better after my adjustment. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. First-the professionalism and customer service are top notch; I’m sure I can be an annoying patient due to a hectic schedule but they always make me feel welcome. I did something to my back exercising; I couldn’t even stand up straight. I went in and Dr D spent a few minutes adjusting me. I walked out with literally a 50% reduction in pain, it was amazing. I was able to do a light workout that same day which I did not think would be a possibility. I know everyone has different results but I am a believer and very grateful. Deja Herbert12 August 2025After years of back pain due originally to being very top heavy, in the years since my breast reduction I have experienced nothing but pain due to poor posture habits I retained from before my surgery, and after moving to remote work due to the pandemic, it only got worse. Especially in the cervical and lumbar portions of my back. It got to the point where normal functions like turning my head, sleeping, and stretching were SO painful. I had constant sciatic pain. The beginning of 2025 was the worst of it by far. I was literally losing sleep. Desperate for help and change, I did my research and found OSC and I couldn’t be more thankful for them. I met with Dr. Denise and Amanda initially to develop my care plan, Karen walked me through all of the finances with great clarity, and we were off from there. Now 8 months later after being adjusted by Dr. D mostly, and by Dr. Mark and Dr. Jen on occasion, and Ashley and Amanda assisting with decompression for the first few months of my care plan, I have my range of motion back, no pain whatsoever and the tools to keep my posture in check. I find myself saying “tech neck” and readjusting all the time LOL. Katie & Jackie are so friendly and helpful at the front desk, too. I can’t recommend this chiropractor enough. The entire staff is so friendly, personable and literally remember you by name and the tidbits about your life that you tell them. I tell everyone about you all. Cecelia Rapson19 October 2024This is a bit long but I really have a lot to say about my experience at Optimal Spine. I met for a consult 3 months ago in June. I was having severe groin pain that hindered mobility on my right side, from an ACL replacement that I had in 2008. After that surgery everything slowly went down hill. I walked with a gait, my stride was getting shorter, and I would experience extreme pain in my right groin, on and off, depending on certain positions. I walked and sat with awful posture to relieve the pain in my groin. I was slowly losing mobility in my hip because I was avoiding movement that caused the pain and this caused atrophy and severe stiffness. Around 2020, I sought out the advice of Orthopaedic doctors (I saw 2 different ones that specialized in hips) and they both concurred that I would eventually need hip replacement and told me it was arthritis. They offered drugs and steroid shots, that I declined. My hip x-ray wasn't that bad, I had no bone on bone, even the doctor admitted that. I feel that they did not believe the extreme pain that I was having because the x-rays weren't that bad and they dismissed me, instead of trying to find out what was causing my pain. One even told me to try using a cane! Fast forward 4 years. Pain was increasing and my mobility decreasing. I was now reading material online about possible hip surgery. As I was searching, I saw a post about chiropractor care. I thought, "it can't hurt". I was skeptical because not one doctor, primary or specialists, suggested this in all these years, but it didn't require, surgery, meds or shots, so I booked a complimentary evaluation. To my surprise everything was covered by my insurance! Dr. Mark had me get an x-ray, to take out any guesswork. Then he met with me to discuss the results. He was confident that he could help me get back on track. I was filled with hope but I was still skeptical. After all it's been almost 2 decades since my knee surgery (the point when all this began). After 3 months under Dr. Mark's care, I am walking, standing and sitting straighter. I have gone from 3 adjustments a week to 2. I look forward to my visits. I can go up and downstairs without walking slumped over and with much less pain. My husband who has seen me walk down the steps like an old lady since 2008, now witnesses me walk down the steps normally and most of the time with no pain at all! He even went to see Dr. Mark for his neck pain, which is now gone after 2 or 3 visits. I felt results after 2 or 3 visits myself, but I did not want to submit a review at that point. I mean, I was feeling better, but still having pain, and people were telling me that the relief that I was experiencing could be phsycosymatic. I don't write reviews right away. I received a request to do a review just days after beginning care with Optimal Spine, but chose to wait on that because sometimes you're full of hope at the beginning only to be disappointed . I feel 100% confident providing this review 3 months after beginning my care. I am 90% pain free and getting my mobility back. I truly think that in a short time I will be 100% pain free and 100% mobility back. Educate yourself on the benefits of spine care. PLEASE, if you feel that what your doctors are telling you isn't what you believe, DON'T accept it!! You know your body. Exhaust all of your options. I'm so blessed that I found Optimal Spine! Jennifer B5 July 2023I first went to Optimal Spine many years ago for hip pain. I was thrilled when my issues were resolved after the treatment period. I did not maintain visits and here we are again, subluxation city. I honestly felt terribly awkward at the thought of going back after so long and considered finding a new practice. I'm so very glad I didn't. I found their new office stunning and the process of getting back on track went very smoothly! Every staff member I encountered could not have been more friendly. Not only was I remembered but welcomed back very warmly! Today my visit was with Dr. Jen and as I remembered she was incredibly friendly and concise in describing what was wrong, and how to fix it with a detailed plan of treatment. My only con here is that I didn't come back sooner. From the moment I called to the time I visited and left the office, my experience was nothing short of exceptional! Everyone was enthusiastically friendly and eager to help and sympathetic to my situation — I’m experiencing extreme low back pain due to an exercise-related incident that happened just days prior. I also love the fact that the doctors and staff explain things in such a way that anyone can understand. Given the amount of discomfort I am in, I was even more pleased that they could see me the same day I called and my follow-up is just 3 days later. It’s only been one day, but I am hopeful that I’ll be back to my normal self soon and pain free. And the staff at OSC are making it so pleasant that my husband is even considering them. As a former professional athlete & full time amateur "adventurer" my body must be working at a high level. So, I need help very quickly to end this current bedridden waste of life. Dr Mark sees that I am trying to fight a very high level of pain & experiencing a nearly total loss of movement & abilty just for basic tasks. The fastest route would have been for him to do an assessment & write me a script for xrays today but he explained that because of insurance reasons I would have paid 100% of all bills. Instead, he suggested that I go to my primary care Dr, have her do an evaluation & write me the script for xrays & a referral back to your office & my insurance will cover it. It will take several extra days to get the xrays & back to your office but I was saved several hundred dollars today by a Dr doing things correctly both professionally & personally. The staff was very friendly and helpful they were able to answer all of my questions and make me feel as comfortable as possible understanding my back pain. The doctors assistance was very easy to talk to and walked me through there questions in a understanding and caring manner. The Dr gave me a quite but thorough examination and was so knowledgeable that he could tell me were my pain was then after see the amount of discomfort I was in he was able to get me a prescription for x-rays then get me another appointment the next day. I was concerned with my pregnancy because with my daughter I was put on bed rest for 3 months, I was very worried that I was going to have to do the same with my son. I started my care with Dr's Jenn and Mark and I went full term, even went a week late. We happily continued care, I always loved when my 2 and 4 year old daughters would climb on the table and were ready for their adjustments... it was too cute, or when my infant son was adjusted and I could see a difference in him by him just being less fussy and more happy, it got to a point that I knew when he need an adjustment. They are the best at what they do, they are kind and caring people and are always willing to work with you and help you achieve the healthiest you. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Both Dr. Mark and Dr. Jen give us adjustments and we find them to be skilled and personable. The entire office staff is very helpful whenever we need to discuss scheduling or billing. The best part is that they have FREE weekly seminars every Tuesday evening. The meetings last only about 30-40 minutes, but they are packed with valuable information that has helped us take positive steps in our overall health and wellness. I started with a lot of pain and I am almost pain free after about 4 months of treatment. Jessica Ricks10 January 2019I started going to Optimal Spine Chiropractic back in October 2018. I was in my second trimester with my 3rd child. I was having horrible hip pain and some days it hurt to walk. I had gone to a chiropractor about 15 or more years ago and remembered how much I loved going to one. I wish I did not wait so long to start up again! My pain was gone within the first month and I’ve always been one to crack my own neck and back which I have also stopped doing! Dr. Jen and Dr. Mark are by far my favorite chiropractors I’ve ever gone to! They explain everything so well and teach you every step of the way. The free workshop classes they have are very informative. They are family oriented and really value their patients. Heather Dougherty10 January 2019I started going here early in my pregnancy to help align my body for better positioning of the baby. Later in my second trimester, I was diagnosed with Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction. This caused me great pain any time I did anything that involves my hips, so pretty much all the time. Dr. Jen and Dr. Mark were very knowledgeable and treated my pain so that I was able to function during pregnancy and experience the least amount of discomfort as possible with SPD. Now that I’m not pregnant, I continue to go to them to maintain my health. The entire office staff is friendly, professional, and go out of their way to make sure every patient is well taken care of. I've had back issues stemming from a car accident many years ago and thought I just had to power through pregnancy back pain. Wrong!! I honestly never thought I could feel so good through my second and third trimesters and I owe it all to Drs Jen and Mark! Optimal Spine is now a family affair as we have trusted them with overseeing the chiropractic care for our 4 year old, 2 year old and newborn! In fact, our newborn saw Dr. Jen at just 5 days old and I saw an instant improvement with her latch and bowel functions thanks to Dr. Jen's adjustments! Our girls love their monthly visits and my 4 year old brags to her friends at daycare when it's adjustment day - that certainly speaks volumes to not only the work that Drs Mark and Jen do, but their caring bedside manner and the welcoming atmosphere they have established through their office staffing!Posted on Google

This is the first chiropractic team I've been to where I was educated regarding the treatment I was receiving and could feel the difference in treatment. All members of this team work together and are all outstanding. I highly recommend Optimal Spine if your looking for someone in the Aberdeen area and would even encourage those that are not in the area to make the drive. After being referrer by several family and friends I scheduled my first appointment! I can not say enough good about the practice! I also work in the health field so I am very hard to please. Staff is amazing, doctors are fantastic and you are treated as a person. I was so pleased I told my husband to make an appointment. I can not tell you the difference from my first visit to just a few weeks. There are pregnancy pillows and you get so much knowledge. They truly care about your health and wellbeing, but won't over promise things they can't fix. We were aggressive with my adjustments in the beginning (3 times a week for 3 months), but now I'm on a once a week schedule and it's just like anything else...if it's important to you, you'll make time for it.
